I have watched “Hachi; A Dog’s Tale” and it’s more of a drama film, but in my opinion there are a lot of mixed emotions. Even if you’re someone that isn’t as sentimental I feel like this movie will definitely make you tear up. Or if you have any type of pet this movie would make you cry.
This movie was around the 1930’s its based off a true story. It’s mainly about a Akito dog (Hachi) that is trying to get transported, but with all the movement it falls over. A guy named Parker Wilson tries to take it in but his wife Cate Wilson doesn’t want to take the dog in, but some instances happen and they take the dog in. The wife isn’t so happy about it but I personally think their acting was really good, but his wife really hits a nerve when she goes on about not wanting Hachi.
I really liked this movie because it has to do with dogs and I personally am a dog person. I love how in this one scene Hachi is waiting for his owner in the train station hungry, and this guy working a food stand sees and feeds him, and after that it became a routine.
There’s not really a group of people I have in mind that I wouldn’t recommend this to mainly because I don’t see why anyone could dislike the movie but, I would recommend this to someone who loves dogs though. the MPAA rating is “G’ and I’d give it a 10/10.
