Yearbook – The Conquistador

Members of the Northbrook El Conquistador staff create a full-color 160-page yearbook for Northbrook and Yes Prep at Northbrook. Students write and edit stories, headlines and captions; take all the photos; sell and design ads and use Adobe InDesign and Photoshop to design the pages.  Due to COVID-19, students used a new design program to create the yearbook for the 2020-2021 yearbook. Students interested in joining either the yearbook or newspaper staffs must first take Journalism I.

The three most recent editions of the El Conquistador were selected by Balfour Publishing Company as “Honorable-mention” to be used in teaching workshops and as salespersons’ sample books all over the country.

The school yearbook theme for the 2021-2022 school year is: Run it back. The theme was voted by the students at Northbrook High School.
