After Jenny broke up with her long-term boyfriend Nate. She moves to San Francisco for a new job opportunity, before leaving New York , Jenny embarks on a day-long adventure with her best friends Erin and Blain to rediscover herself , heal and find closure. Along the way, they encounter past loves, new experiences, and deep conversations. Through flashbacks, the film explores Jenny and Nates relationship, showing its growth and decline as Jenny navigates her feelings, she learns to prioritize self-love, friendship, and embracing life’s uncertainties
I liked this movie because it shows the power of friendship, and support, love, and laughter that comes with strong relationships. Their struggles and emotions are authentic, making it easy to invest in their stories, also the film tackles the pain and complexity of ending a long-term relationship, highlighting the emotional struggles and growth that follow. I didn’t like that the storyline is somewhat predictable, with few surprises along the way and also some supporting characters, like Jennys love interest, Nate feel underdeveloped and lack depth. The lesson that I learned from this movie is , Self-love growth because the movie emphasizes the importance of focusing on personal growth and self-love after a break up. Some people may learn that it’s okay to prioritize yourself , that relationships end, but life goes on ¨Someone Great¨ shows that even after a painful break up life continues, and new experiences await, also that female empowerment , the film promotes females empowerment, encouraging women to take control of their lives, make choices and prioritize their own happiness.
I would recommend this movie to anyone going through a break-up because the movie’s honest portrayal of healing and growth after a relationship ends will provide comfort and inspiration, and also to fans of romantic comedies, viewers who enjoy light-hearted, humorous, and heartwarming stories will appreciate this move. I would not recommend this movie to those young professionals looking for inspiration to pursue their passion. I rated this movie 10/10. I love it!
