Everyone has wanted a Goldfish once in their life right? I did, but I never had one sadly.  “Ponyo” an adorable fantasy film of a goldfish wanting to be a human like his friend. Souske finds Ponyo stuck and saves her!

Souske was wandering around and playing with his toys in the sea, he encounters a red goldfish (Ponyo) stuck in a jar! Souske immediately left his toys and ran to the goldfish. He grabbed the jar and carefully smashed the jar and carefully carried the goldfish. Souske put the goldfish in a bucket full of water and kept it, the goldfish talked and kept repeating Souskes name! Souske named the goldfish Ponyo. Ponyo’s dad (Fujimoto) noticed that she was missing, he went out in the land and started looking for her. Souske took Ponyo to his school and hid her in the bushes. After school Souske was back home with Ponyo, but Ponyo was taken back with his father! Eventually Ponyo’s father accepted Ponyo to go back in land and live her life with Souske.

About the movie, I LOVED the character! They’re so cute and the art style is something I haven’t seen before. It’s a comforting movie and I recommend watching it. I really liked the scene when Ponyo spit water at a girl. Something I didn’t like is that the movie wasn’t longer, I really wanted to see more. I believe that you let people do what they want and enjoy and not hold them back from doing what they want.

Ponyo is a G rated movie, so it’s perfect to watch with your family or friends! To people who like fantasy, action and drama, this movie is perfect! I would give this movie a 5/5
