There’s always the heart conveying movies. The ones we ramble on and dream that someday might be us. Short and wholesome movies are usually perfect for just watching on the couch with some friends! As such I present to you “Flipped”, a movie we all need in our hearts. A romantic, conveying and interesting story about two young kids and a flourishing love?
A story set in the early 1960s a young boy moves to a new neighborhood. This is the start of a whole new intriguing relationship between the boy (Bryce Loski), and his new neighbor (Juli Baker). That same day Juli realizes she has fallen in love with Bryce. And so on starts her new mission of being as close as she can get to the love of her life. But does Bryce like her back? The whole scenery really conveys Michigan in the early 60s; with the beautiful lighting and houses this movie portrays the environment perfectly. Both characters get to grow up as we can see their passion for boths interests. Like Juli’s love for nature and Bryces interactions with his friends.
This movie reaches and stays with anyone who watches it. The houses and the perfect set made this movie more nostalgic. The sunsets and the vintage landscape makes you fall in love with this romcom. The characters, especially Juli, have a great personality. I love her relationship between her and Bryce’s grandfather, it really touched my heart. However I would like them to go into more details about each other’s feelings. I would also recommend not expecting a masterpiece of a storyline as it’s just simple but still enchanting. We can really see the way a relationship can blossom and hoe feelings play a great role in our life through this movie.
As a PG rated movie this has a lot more to offer to different audiences. Kids and adults might enjoy this movie in the family! As a teen myself I believe its a great watch and pretty iconic for its time. This movie was recommended to me and so now i share it with you! After all nice things should be shared;I give this movie **** stars.
