If you are looking for a movie that not only is funny but has a beautiful story this is for you. After watching “Instructions not included” I would like to give my opinion on it. This movie is great because it shows how something you would never expect can change your life for good or bad. This movie will make you laugh but also cry because of the beautiful story it contains.
This playboy, Valentin (Eugenio Derbez) finds out that his ex lover has a daughter. She shows up at his house one day but he refuses to take care of her. Julie (Jessica Lindsey), the ex lover then found an excuse and left as soon as possible. Desperate and not knowing what to do he goes to the closest thing to being his family. They then suggest he keep her, of course he instead tries to find a way to get in contact with Julie. He ends up finding out she is going to L.A. So he and his daughter go to L.A. After realizing all he wants is to spend time with his daughter Maggie back at Mexico (Loreto Peralta) a man, Frank, approaches him and offers him a job as a stuntman in the U.S. After years of being the only present parent he gets a call from Julie asking to meet her daughter. She ends up wanting full custody of Maggie, and so Valentin is now fighting to keep her. All the actors did a great job playing the role of these people, they made me mad yet at the same time sad. Even at a young age Loreto Peralta (Maggie) was able to get to many people by her great acting skill, she made many cry and laugh,
This move made me learn that you can love someone or something you never expected. I liked how when he thought he would never commit and never wished for a kid he ended up loving and caring for her so much. Once he risked his life for her and saw that she was a bit like him he realized he would do anything for her even if he was scared and even if it was risky. He didn’t want to lose her even though at the beginning he was trying to get rid of her. But what I didn’t like was how Valentin the dad wouldn’t tell the truth in order to keep Maggie with him. A lesson people could get from this movie is that parenthood can completely change your life and how responsibility and love brings out the best in people.
The movie is PG-13 so kids can’t watch it but any other person would love this movie since it gives a beautiful meaning. I really think many would love this movie since its funny but it might not be the most appropriate to watch with kids. But I would definitely recommend it its a great movie and I would give it a 9 out of 10.
