Why do people like sports? What sports do people like? Where do they play sports? When do they play sports? These are many of the questions that many people think or ask, because there are many sports that are so interesting.
Today I want to talk about a specific sport that many people like and know: soccer. A famous sport that people play because they like it. Soccer is a sport between two teams of eleven players each, whose objective is to get a ball into the opponents goal that cannot be touched with the hands or arms, except by the goalkeeper in his own goal area. They have many rules and they also have cards in case there are some fouls since it is a bit dangerous if you fall and get hit badly. The time that they play is 90 minutes in total but is divided by 45 minutes because they have two parts and and they have 15 minutes of rest, which is halftime.
In the world of Soccer, there are various trophies to play for and want to compete for. For example, many teams play to win, ranging from the World Cup to the Champions League, the National League, and continental or national cups such as the FA Cup or the Copa Libertadores. The Ballon d’Or is also awarded to outstanding individual players and the Golden Boot for the top scorer. The truth is, many teams play to want to win because that is the goal. Even if they lose, they never give up, they always continue with their heads held high.
It is admirable the passion that a person has to play soccer many times you can see the passion and love for it, which makes it more interesting, another thing is that many people take soccer as therapy to which they go when they feel bad because they feel that everything can be solved that way and they feel a great relief when doing it which is very good since they have their mind distracted. Many times we see that when playing soccer we leave many burdens there, although it is a sport that is competitive, the passion for soccer is felt in the veins along with peace and tranquility, the love and passion for soccer is something very big that is seen and felt.
Soccer isn’t just a ball and a goal. It’s a way of life that involves intense emotions, deep social connection, and a sense of identity that many people depend on. Many don’t play for fame, they play for the love of the game. As Neymar Jr. said, “There’s no pressure when you do what you truly love.”
