There is this big news that came just recently this year about a famous singer that goes by the name D4VD. Real name is David Anthony Burke. Born March 28, 2005 in New York, later coming to Houston Texas. His music genre has more of the R&B, indie, and pop style. But all of his music career is coming to an end due to the controversies of an incident that happened this year on Sep. 8.
A decomposed body had been found in the front trunk of a Tesla that had been registered under D4VD’s name. The car was found abandoned in Hollywood and towed due to a parking violation. Now, David had been on tour at the time so when we all heard about this, nobody really thought that it could be David. But as days passed more evidence is being found and it isn’t looking too good for him.
The victim was identified as 15 year old Celeste Rivas Hernandez; she had been missing since April of 2024. Looking more into it, more evidence has been found. Celeste had turned out to be known as David’s girlfriend. Keep in the back of your mind that Celeste was 15 and David was 19. Already showing a different type of crime that is easy to charge for; but it is said that Celeste had presented herself as being 19 years old. She had many fake ID’s in possession. And as people found out of this relationship this did strike a spark. She had been seen with David, and even had matching tattoos but investigators have not confirmed any romantic relationship as of now. Celeste’s mother knew about her daughter dating someone with the name of David but didn’t know it was D4VD. It is reported that Celeste had run away with David and that a teacher is a witness of that, knowing of their relationship as well. Some fans are even debating how his lyrics and content can contain some dark and even so-called haunted imagery.
As of now, David has not been charged with any crime, so far, but he is being very cooperative with the police, even so his U.S. and European tour dates have been canceled due to the investigation. It has even gotten to the point where some brand partnerships and collaborations were paused or even dropped. The investigation is still ongoing, as the cause of death is still undetermined.
There’s much evidence that could pin this murder on David, but are we sure he’s the one that did it at all? Some people are saying that there is another Celeste that could have been the one to commit this Romantic Homicide. Or was it just jealousy? Could a person who loved his fans so dearly be a murderer? Maybe someone was envious of his fame and wanted to ruin his career so they pinned a murder on him. They chose a victim that would make it seem as if David was the one to do it. So many questions, but will we be able to get the answers soon? The answer of if he is innocent or guilty? Is there someone else a part of this case we know nothing about?
