The famous 24/7 diner, Denny’s, has been an astonishing staple in the food business here in America. Ranging from their fluffy pancakes and creamy eggs, to their delicious and packed burgers. They have made their name known by giving a pleasant experience to everyone that goes to enjoy their day inside Denny’s.

Founded by Harold Butler and Richard Jezak in Lakewood, California under the name Danny’s Donuts. Once Jezak departed from Danny’s Donuts, Butler decided to give a new face to Danny’s and made it a coffee shop. With this big change in 1956, Butler also made Danny’s Coffee Shop 24/7.

In Los Angeles there was a coffee shop named Dan’s Coffee Shop, and to avoid confusion Butler changed the name once again to Denny’s Coffee Shop. In 1961, Butler did one more change to the name and dropped “coffee shop”. The new name was Denny’s and it was only up from there for this iconic diner.  Expanding internationally for the first time in Acapulco, Mexico. Denny’s grew and grew with thousands of stores opening and more meals being served. Denny’s reached one of their best accomplishments in 1981 when they officially opened 1,000 locations.

Denny’s gives every customer a comfortable aesthetic. When walking in the door you can see the amiable and old style booths and hear the slowed down music. Denny’s also comes with a variety of flavors from the countless amounts of meals they have. One of their most famous dishes is the Grand Slam. Originating from a location in Atlanta giving praise to baseball player Hank Aaron.

Coast to coast, North to South, Denny’s has brought a smile to all of their customers. In present day some Denny’s are sadly closing down each day. Their popularity hasn’t been the same since the 1900’s, it does not mean their food and their warmth they serve each day to people isn’t still great.
