3 Men Charged For Assault On Man With Autism

On March 13, 2018 three men were caught on video surveillance, surrounding the victim and brutally assaulting him and walking away like nothing happened. The three were arrested after a warrant was discharged. The victim’s father said he had stitches and inner scars.

“It doesn’t matter if the person has autism. They just randomly went up and assaulted somebody for no good reason,” the father of the victim said in an interview with Global News.

The 29-year-old man was taking off his roller skates after going for a skate near the bus terminal of Mississauga’s Square One Shopping Centre, when he was attacked by the stairwell. After his attack, he has carried on working and won’t be interpreted by the attack.

On November 2nd, Parmvir Singh Chahil and Jaspaul Uppal, were both sentenced to 9 months of jail, 1 year of probation, and a 10 year weapons proscription and were descreed to give in DNA to the DNA databank after being guilty for aggravated assault on Feb. 11, 2020. The 3rd arraigned attacker, Ronjot Singh Dhami, was sentenced to 12 months in jail, 2 years probation, a 10-year weapons prohibition and a DNA order. He was released from jail on the day of his sentence, considering time served.

“Everywhere you go, you try to do you best, live your life and if crappy things like this happen, stand strong, don’t cower away, don’t cover up and just continue to live your life. That’s the best revenge of all of this,” exclaims the victim.

Parmvir has 8 months and 21 days while Uppal has 7 months and 19 days left on their sentences.

You should never let anything bring you down and just continue life. Get back in the race and forget anything bad that has happened.
