The world and its advanced technology has changed the lives of millions and also has given people hope for the future. Things such as 3D printing, smartphones and computers have had a huge impact on how we live in the present time, but one thing that receives the most recognition are electric vehicles. Although these vehicles have received plenty of positive feedback it’s important to understand that they’re not as environmentally friendly as they seem.
One major issue about these vehicles is the fact that they affect climate change. E.V’s are able to create carbon pollution, maybe not as much as gas automobiles, but the government wants to keep making more money out of these cars since they know they’re “extremely beneficial” according to the people that don’t focus on the negative side of them.
Another thing one should focus on if they ever decide to get these kinds of cars would be how hard it is to get them powered. Usually people prefer to buy gas vehicles due to the fact that it’s easier to get them filled up than electric cars, taking up to 15 minutes when a gas car can be filled in a matter of 2 minutes. Not only that but it’s really hard to find charging stations for these cars. According to an article titled, “Electric Vehicle States And The New Electric Economy Have Arrived”, gives reasonable information on why people may not want to buy these cars due to this big problem and letting us know that even though they have goods to them, their batteries are the main problem.
The last thing that one would have to worry about would be the harm these vehicles could cause on the road. In a recent article called, “US Official Warns Of Risks Posed by Heavy Electric Vehicles”, we are informed that the weight and speed of these cars are really important to recognize since they weigh hundreds if not thousands more pounds than normal cars. They’re a bigger danger to society since they could kill the same as people in a “normal car”.
Overall these cars aren’t that good as one may perceive them as. They are viewed as a luxurious item but in reality they cause more harm than good. Just because they gain so much attention, one should know the bads that come with them.
