Insecurities are often seen in many places. Often times, one has insecurities in the mirror.

Insecurities are uncertainty of oneself; lack of confidence. Insecurities come from judgment by people who are unhappy with themselves. This can increase during relationships, school, social media, and other social relations. It’s a very important topic that should be talked about because this is very relatable to death and suicidal thoughts. We should all, as a community come together to lift each other’s spirits up and support therapy for help.

“The reason we struggle with insecurity is because we compare our behind-the-scenes with everyone else’s highlight reel. – Steven Furtick” is a quote that supports school situations because school allows people to compare themselves with others who have more than them, such as body, items, and relationships.

For example, some people would want to have the appearance others have because it differs in the way their clothes look on them, and they start comparing themselves and feeling disgusted in the way they look. They also want to have the apple watches their friends have, but their economy is not stable enough for one.

“Relationships fail when people take their own insecurities and project them as their partner’s flaws. – Steve Maraboli” is a quote that supports relationships because nowadays, a partner in the relationship has their ways of making the other person feel their insecurities much more.

For example, when a guy tells their girlfriend that they are gaining weight, the girlfriend starts feeling more insecure about her stomach, which eventually leads to suicidal thoughts, or even leaving the relationship. This situation can become a frequent problem as well because women forgive but don’t forget easily.

“Social media makes people insecure and then gives them an outlet to drag other people down because of their insecurities. – Jake Paul” is a quote that supports social media because many women scroll through their feeds and spot many beautiful women with surgeries and a lot of makeup. This causes them to look at themselves and not feel good enough because they don’t look how the famous people in their feeds do. Many bad people have the habit of pointing out another person’s insecurities as well and it makes it worse for them to accept themselves.

Social media also falls into place with relationships because some partners say they love their partners just the way they are, but they go on social media and like other people’s pictures who have very different looks from their partner’s. This not only brings a lot of insecurities to a partner, but it hurts them and starts ruining the relationship slowly but surely.

As you can see, insecurities are mainly based more on physical appearance and emotions than anything else.
